ABOUT PACE:

PACE is a voluntary sector organisation that works in the community
with prisoners, ex-prisoners, offenders and ex-offenders. PACE
provides a range of services to support the safe integration of this
client group into the community.

PACE works from a strengths-based approach to address the treatment
and support needs of the target group, to work with them so that they
can earn their place in society and to develop a pro-social identity
that is based around their non-offending behaviour.

ABOUT PACE PREVENTION SERVICES

PACE Prevention Services consists of three programmes that work with
clients with complex needs who pose a significant risk of reoffending
sexually. The focus of the Prevention Services is on managing and
reducing the risk of re-offending. Those who commit sexual offences
are not a homogeneous population therefore our interventions aim to be
responsive to the diversity of this client group. These three
programmes operate in a desistance framework and are:

* Safer Lives Treatment programme,
* Foothold Floating Support Service
* CoSA (Circles of Support and Accountability)

ABOUT SAFER LIVES TREATMENT PROGRAMME

The Safer Lives Treatment programme is a group therapeutic programme
designed to assist men to understand their offending behaviour and the
harm it caused, and to develop the knowledge and skills to live a life
that is safer for themselves, their families and their communities,
incorporating a ?Good Lives? and a desistance approach. Our
interventions focus on supporting individuals to take full
responsibility for their harmful sexual behaviour and to identify and
adopt new goals that are personally meaningful, and congruent with
desistance processes.
